Greenwaste processing at the RRRC


Please be advised that the RRRC Green Waste Facility reopened Monday 14 May 2012.

Residents may bring CLEAN GREEN WASTE to the Regional Resource Recovery Centre (RRRC) located in Canning Vale. It comprises a Green Waste Processing Facility (fees apply, see below).

The Green Waste Processing Facility located in Canning Vale creates mulch form the clean green waste gathered by council verge collections. Green waste is also accepted from residents and commercial operators who bring it to the RRRC on trailers.

100% of the Green Waste is recovered, with no residual waste going to landfill.

The RRRC is open 7 days a week, 8.00 to 4.00pm (except Christmas Day)

The following items CAN be processed:

  • Tree loppings and shrub prunings up to 1.5 metres in length and 350mm in diameter
  • Palms (max cut lengths 300mm)

The following items CANNOT be processed:

  • Bags or boxes of leaves or grass clippings
  • Weeds and root materials 
  • Sand and soil materials 
  • Dug out lawn 
  • Leaves and lawn clippings (place these in your green top bin)
  • General rubbish

  • Junk or whitegoods (these will only be collected during the annual junk verge collections)
