What Goes in Green Top Bins

 The green-topped bin is for anything that can be composted or broken down naturally.
 This includes:
  • Kitchen scraps
  • Cotton, corks & small piece of wood
  • Disposable nappies
  • Lawn clippings & small prunings

Please do not discard glass, metal and plastic in the green-topped bin. All glass, metal and plastic must go in the yellow topped bin.

Each year, the SMRC working with Cockburn, East Fremantle, Fremantle, Kwinana and Melville Councils send residents an updated Resource Recovery Calendar, which includes information on bin collections, and a detailed A-Z list of what items can be placed in the yellow-topped bin.
