What Goes in Green Top Bins

Green Top Bin

Green-topped bin is for anything organic that can be composted or broken down naturally. If you want to know if something goes in the green top bin ask yourself this simple question, "was this ever alive?" If the answer is "yes," then in most cases, it goes in the green top bin. These bins are emptied weekly.

  • Kitchen scraps
  • Cotton, cork & small pieces of wood
  • Disposable nappies
  • Lawn clippings & small prunings

Please do not discard glass, metal and plastic in the green-topped bin. All glass, metal and plastic must go in the yellow-topped bin.
