Information for Residents

Green-topped bin is for anything organic that can be composted or broken down naturally. These bins are emptied weekly.

Each year the SMRC working with Cockburn, East Fremantle, Fremantle, Kwinana and Melville Councils send residents an updated Resource Recovery Calendar, which includes information on bin collections, and a detailed A-Z list of what items can be placed in the green top bin.  For a copy of your local Resrouce Recovery Calendar click on the links below.

• Kitchen scraps
• Cotton, cork & small pieces of wood
• Disposable nappies
• Lawn clippings & small prunings

Please do not discard glass, metal and plastic in the green-topped bin. All glass, metal and plastic must go in the yellow-topped bin.
